Tech support for school issued devices is available in the Library Learning Commons during school hours. If you need support at other times please try the following steps:
Shut down the app by double clicking the home button and swiping up to close it.
Reset the iPad by holding down the power and VOLUME DOWN buttons until you see the apple.
Delete the app and reinstall it from the Self Service app.
Turn wifi on and off.
If the above strategies do not work, have your child bring the iPad to the Media Center in the morning.
If you are having trouble with logging into an app, please notify your child's classroom teacher first.
Please report any damage or lost devices to your child's teacher as soon as possible.
To make an appointment call 203.869.1896 x 3333 to reach the Julian Curtiss School Media Center.
Bridging the Digital Divide in Greenwich
Greenwich Public Schools is piloting a program to provide internet access to students who do not have these in their homes.
In the highly competitive, over scheduled world, high school students who can only rely on public access internet options (e.g. GHS labs, public libraries) are at a significant disadvantage compared with peers who can obtain information and work at any hour in their home.
Students will receive a Verizon hotspot which will connect directly with the GPS Chromebook. The Verizon device will only be accessible to the Chromebook and not other electronic devices. Unlimited internet will be available through the end of the school year at which time the program will be reevaluated.
We are very excited to be taking these steps to help level the playing field for these students.
To nominate a student, please complete the attached form, with parental signature.
