Julian Curtiss School (JCS) offers world language instruction in grades K-5 in either Spanish or French and has been described as “the little United Nations Schools of Greenwich” in the New York Times. The students body and staff represent nearly 60 different countries and 30 different languages. This diversity is recognized and celebrated as a source of strength and a reflection of the world. Building on the strength of this international foundation, JCS provides a rigorous academic curriculum, a partnership with Teachers College Columbia University, and a strong social-emotional learning framework in a personalized learning environment.

At Julian Curtiss School the start bell rings at 8:10am. However, there is an option to drop off students before school starts beginning at 7:30am. The school day ends at 2:45pm. However, after school programming is also offered at Julian Curtiss School M-F (except Wednesdays). Program offerings include Homework Club as well as PTA Sponsored After School Activities & Clubs, which vary each marking period. These programs run through 3:45pm. Alternatively students have the option to enroll in programs at the YMCA or YWCA or The Boys and Girls Club (ages 6+) of Greenwich. Once enrolled, a bus will take them from JCS to these locations. These programs run until approximately 6:00pm but for further details please contact them directly.
